Personally, I think you are a great parent, and who cares what "they" think. Would anyone have anything to say to their friends of NT children, regardless of age, when they share the same type of interaction with their children?
I was amused at you being dragged by Jojo BTW. He definitely came from you, no doubt who his mama is. 😁
he is me, through and through. and if people knew where he once was to where he is now, they would marvel at far he has come. he is going to do so many great things when he is older. I know he is.
The sky is the limit. I was just talking to a friend of mine this morning about this very thing. She was told her son was going to be non-speaking. She said maybe, but she wasn't going to put limits on him. Last night she was at his sports awards banquet for his junior year in high school and he was awarded with the mental effort award for cross country. He has worked so hard and made amazing progress, because she has worked hard as well and refuses to put limits on him. We talked about knowing that there are people for whom the spoken word is not available, and that they commit in so many other ways, but that regardless, no one should give limits to anyone else as to what they are able to accomplish.
You are such a wonderful mom and champion for your family. The love comes across in every post you make.
